Howie's House began with a rabbit named Howie — small, overlooked, and out of options. In caring for him, we saw how many animals fall through the cracks: the seniors, the medically fragile, the ones who simply ran out of time. We decided to be their chance.
Today we rescue animals across New Hampshire, nurse them back to health, and place them in loving homes. We believe rescue is a promise, not a transaction — and that every animal deserves to see the world from a safe and loving place.
Not every animal can be placed. Some have medical or behavioral needs that make adoption unlikely — and for them, the alternative is often the worst outcome. We refuse to accept that.
Our sanctuary gives these animals a permanent home: full medical care, comfort, and dignity for the rest of their lives. They aren't waiting for anything. They're already home.
Permanent residency · lifelong care · no animal left behind
